About St. Pius X

Joining St Pius school was one of the best decisions we have ever made for our family. Everyone was extremely welcoming and supportive. The whole community is really something special and needs to be experienced to know. The staff are attentive, creative and caring, the students excited and happy to be there and the church brings a calm presence that is felt throughout the whole school. The focus on academics was exactly what we were looking for. The school peels away all the distractions and lets the classroom be a place for true learning, critical thinking and community building. The individual responsibilities put on the children to be good citizens and good classmates is truly noticeable in their everyday interactions with each other and with their teachers and support staff. There is always joy and laughter filling the hallways and I remember being amazed that each child, even while performing a simple task like walking to the bathroom, is always smiling ear to ear. Happy and safe within these little community walls you can see the joy and pride they carry with them as students of St Pius. My children have become more engaged, more respectful and more joyful since joining the St Pius family. Our only regret….not joining sooner!

One of the best decisions we made as parents was to join the St. Pius X  School community.  Under the guidance of supportive and caring teachers and school staff, we saw our children thrive.  We sincerely appreciate the high standards for behaviour, the emphasis on hard work and the focus on serving others encouraged by the school. Each of our three very different children was encouraged to do their personal best at all times. As parents, we were very grateful for the opportunities to be involved in our children’s classes and the larger school community through the volunteer roles made available to us.  All of our kids felt at home at St. Pius and they continue to feel a strong connection to the school,  particularly to the many teachers who had such a profound impact on them during a key stage of their life. We truly could not have asked for a better place for our kids to be.

My time at St. Pius X has had a profound and lasting impact on both my life and career. Despite graduating in 2003, I still vividly recall how engaging, supportive, and inspiring the teachers were. The school’s commitment to providing strong athletic opportunities sparked an athletic journey that ultimately led me to play professional basketball overseas. The lessons I learned—teamwork, discipline, and resilience—continue to influence and guide me every day. I’m grateful to remain connected to the St. Pius X community and continue to keep in touch with many of the teachers, staff, and classmates to this day.

St. Pius X Elementary excels in academics, fostering curiosity and achievement through exceptional teaching. Its athletic programs encourage teamwork and physical growth, while the fine arts offerings inspire creativity and self-expression. The school’s strong sense of community created a supportive and welcoming environment which gave our daughter the confidence to do her best. We feel that St. Pius X provides an excellent start for any child’s educational journey. 

Deciding to send both our children to Saint Pius X is quite possibly the best decision we ever made. Our children are very different, one excels intellectually while the other is challenged with a learning disability, however, both children have been equally stretched and supported by the amazing team of dedicated teachers and support staff. 

The extracurricular activities offered by the school are fantastic, from athletics to public speaking (speech arts) and choir, the team at Saint Pius devote their time to enrich the lives of the children. My kids have enjoyed all the extracurricular activities offered, but are particularly fond of cross country and track and field, where the coaches push the kids physically to excel in competition while also maintaining a fun and great team spirit.

As a parent, the sense of community amongst my fellow parents is like something I could have never hoped for. When our time comes to leave the school, I will be sad to leave, however, my children and I have all made connections that I know will last a lifetime.

After moving from Mexico, finding a welcoming community was essential to our family. St. Pius has been that and more for us. With its commitment to academic excellence and a wide range of athletic programs that build teamwork and resilience, our daughters, Ana and Sofia, have thrived. The school’s core values, Reverence, Respect and Responsibility, have nurtured their character. St. Pius has given us a true sense of belonging, making our transition smooth and enriching. We are profoundly grateful to be part of the St. Pius X family. Go Guardians!

We will forever cherish our experience at St Pius X Elementary. The school provided both of our girls with a wonderfully well-rounded education, grounded by strong academics and the school’s deeply-rooted values of reverence, respect and responsibility. Beyond the classroom, the exceptional athletic program offered them opportunities to train, compete and grow alongside their friends and teammates. From their first day, to their final day, our daughters felt seen, and supported in everything they set out to achieve. From the caring community, to the dedicated staff, St Pius is a small school with a lot of substance.

Our experience at St. Pius X Elementary School has been nothing short of exceptional.  The dedicated teachers and staff went above and beyond to support all students, nurturing their strengths and addressing their needs.  Our son immensely enjoyed the school’s excellent athletics program which encouraged teamwork, leadership, discipline and a love for sports and physical activity.  We appreciated not only the strong academic focus but the opportunities for Cameron to participate in extra curricular activities such as Readers for Leaders, the Christmas Pageant, and Speech Arts.  We are very grateful to have been part of this caring, spiritual community and we cherish the lasting impact St. Pius X has had on our family.

Our family had a fantastic experience at St. Pius X! The teaching staff fostered a sense of community allowing our children to thrive. Focus on core academics was enriched by unique classroom opportunities for extending knowledge and growing social awareness. Endless possibilities exist with impactful field trips, a band program, Christmas drama production, and an extensive competitive athletics program, ensuring something for every child.
