"ME TO WE" DAY- THURSDAY, OCT.13TH:

We are pleased to announce that we have 44 enthusiastic gr. 6 & 7 students who have joined the St. Pius Leadership Club for this year. On Thursday, October 13th, 27 of them will be attending Vancouver's 3rd annual "We Day" at GM Place. They will have the opportunity to listen to many inspirational and dynamic speakers, like Mia Farrow, Shaquille O'Neal, the Hedley Band, Jesse Cruikshank, Mikeal Gorbechev, and of course, Marc and Craig Kielburger.  Anyone can watch the free live webcast at www.freethechildren.com/weschools/event. This unique day is sponsored by "Free the Children" and "Me to We", two organizations run by Canadian Torontonian brothers, Marc and Craig Keilburger. In order to receive these tickets, we needed to make a commitment, as a school, to fundraise and support their "Adopt a Village" international program. The leadership club has chosen to support the "Health Care" campaign (supporting young people to build a school) in Kenya. We look forward to your support in our future fundraising efforts, and are eagerly anticipating the uplifting "We Day"!
